St. Peter’s Basilica holds the most significant artwork on the Holy Spirit: the Dove of the Holy Spirit. My sister and I were so blessed to have attended the Vespers and mass here on Pentecost this Sunday.
I prayed the Holy Spirit Prayer while gazing at the Dove of the Holy Spirit. For the first time in my life, I felt the Holy Spirit fill me. My heart was full of everything good. There was no room left for anything else. There were no cracks or spaces for the other side to creep in.
In that moment, I was blessed with the clarity on things that had been on my mind, and even clarity on things that I didn’t even know I needed clarity on. The fire of the Holy Spirit melted my anxieties away and brought me clarity and security.
Let us pray:
*Sign of the Cross* In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit. Come, Holy Spirit!
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful.
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.Lord,
by the light of the Holy Spirit
you have taught the hearts of your faithful.
In the same Spirit
help us to relish what is right
and always rejoice in your consolation.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
*Sign of the Cross* In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Thanks for reading. God bless!
